Industrial cooling and ventilation in Gaziantep
Gaziantep Organised Industrial Zone is among the largest planned industrial areas in Europe, and its scale changes what an air movement supplier is asked for. Whole streets of Başpınar are machine-made carpet weaving, the biggest such cluster anywhere, with Van de Wiele looms running around the clock in halls where yarn dust and motor heat build steadily. Alongside them are pistachio, spice, pulse and baklava plants, plastics extrusion and film, yarn spinning and dyeing, cardboard and flexible packaging, and the free zone near the airport handling export consolidation. Because the air out here is genuinely dry, this is one of the few places in Turkey where a ducted evaporative cooler is the primary machine rather than a supporting one. It brings filtered outside air in cool, gives weaving halls a steady positive pressure that keeps dust moving in one direction, and does it on roughly two kilowatts a unit.
Gaziantep climate — the honest version
Gaziantep sits on the dry continental plateau where July and August reach 38–42 °C with afternoon humidity often below 25 percent, which is the wet bulb depression evaporative cooling is built for and the reason a duct cooler here can take supply air down by twelve to fifteen degrees.
Containers land at Mersin roughly 14 to 18 days from Nhava Sheva · the road leg east to Başpınar and the Gaziantep zones is about 220 km and done in a single day.

Who buys here
Industries in Gaziantep.

- Plastics, film and extrusion
- Yarn spinning, dyeing and textiles
- Packaging, cardboard and flexibles
- Chemicals and building products
Worth knowing locally
- Industrial supply is 380 V three phase 50 Hz, exactly what the coolers and fans are wound for, so installation is a direct connection with no transformer or motor change.
- CE marking under the EU Machinery Directive covers import into Turkey through the Customs Union, and the declaration of conformity together with pad, pump and water quality data is what the plant engineer files for insurance and maintenance records.
- Summer here starts early and stays late, so carpet and food plants generally place orders between January and March in order to have units commissioned before the May heat rather than during it.

Ask on WhatsAppWhy is Gaziantep such a good fit for evaporative cooling?
Because the climate gives the process what it needs. Afternoon humidity below 25 percent at 40 °C means the air can absorb a great deal of moisture, and each gram absorbed removes heat. That produces a supply temperature twelve to fifteen degrees under ambient at about two kilowatts per unit, which no compressor based system can approach on running cost.
Will added moisture cause problems in a carpet weaving hall?
Generally the opposite. Weaving prefers a moderate humidity because bone dry yarn builds static and breaks more often. A duct cooler lifts relative humidity from perhaps 20 percent into the 45 to 60 percent band while dropping temperature, which suits the looms. Warehousing of finished rolls is the one area where we keep supply air away from the stack.
How many coolers does a large Başpınar weaving hall need?
Sizing follows air changes rather than floor area. A hall of 5,000 square metres at six metres clear needs roughly twenty to twenty five air changes an hour for effective evaporative cooling, which is around fifteen units of 30,000 CMH ducted along the length. We work the final layout from your loom positions and existing roof extraction.
