Selective — see noteIndustrial cooling & ventilation for Uganda
Altitude keeps Uganda comfortable by African standards, and that changes the product conversation entirely: the problem in a Ugandan poultry house or coffee store is stale, damp, ammonia-laden air, not ambient temperature. Ayzair supplies hammer exhaust fans sized to air-change targets, HVLS fans for warehouse and packing floors, and mobile fans for workshop spot cooling.
Climate suitability — the honest version
Equatorial but at 1,200 m altitude — a steady 28–32 °C with moderate humidity
We will not pretend Uganda is an extreme-heat market, because it is not. Kampala sits high enough that daytime temperatures stay in the high twenties. What the buildings actually need is air exchange — ammonia and moisture out of poultry houses, humidity out of grain stores, heat out of greenhouse roofs — which makes this an exhaust and HVLS market rather than a cooling one.

- UNBS pre-export verification of conformity applies to regulated imports; the certificate must be issued by a licensed agency before the goods leave India.
- 240 V single-phase and 415 V three-phase at 50 Hz match Ugandan supply.
- Uganda is landlocked, so the truck leg from Mombasa or Dar es Salaam is a real line item — ask us for a delivered Kampala figure rather than comparing CIF port prices between suppliers.

Supplying Uganda — common questions

Ask on WhatsAppIs it hot enough in Uganda to justify cooling equipment?
Honestly, no — not in the sense a Gulf buyer would mean. Kampala sits at 1,200 m and rarely passes 32 °C. The business case here is ventilation: removing ammonia and moisture from poultry housing, drying air in grain and coffee stores, and venting solar heat from greenhouse and warehouse roofs. That work pays for itself regardless of ambient temperature.
How do goods actually reach Kampala?
Containers land at Mombasa in 10–15 days from Nhava Sheva or at Dar es Salaam in 12–18 days, then move by road on the Northern or Central Corridor, which takes two to three days plus border formalities. Both routes work; Mombasa is usually faster and Dar es Salaam sometimes cheaper on total landed cost.
What should we budget for inland transport?
More than most first-time importers expect. The road leg from the coast to Kampala is a substantial share of landed cost on bulky equipment, and it is quoted separately from sea freight. We would rather give you a delivered Kampala price at enquiry stage than have the haulage invoice surprise you after the container has already sailed.
