Excellent fit

Industrial cooling & ventilation for Mexico

Nearshoring has filled the Bajío and the northern border states with new automotive, appliance and electronics plants, and almost all of them sit in dry heat where evaporative cooling is the cheapest honest way to hold a shop floor comfortable. Ayzair supplies ductable evaporative coolers, HVLS fans and hammer exhaust fans built to order for 220 V or 440 V at 60 Hz.

Climate suitability — the honest version

Northern plateau and Bajío hot and dry at 35–42 °C with 15–30% RH, Gulf and Caribbean coasts hot and humid

The northern plateau and the Bajío — Monterrey, Saltillo, Torreón, Chihuahua, Hermosillo, León, Querétaro, Aguascalientes — are classic swamp-cooler country, and unusually for an export market the habit is already established: plant engineers there know what an enfriador evaporativo does and buy on pad quality, airflow and motor life rather than needing to be convinced. The coasts are the exception. In Veracruz, Tampico and Cancún the humidity kills the effect, so we quote HVLS fans and exhaust there.

  • Mexican plants run 60 Hz at 220 V or 440 V, while our standard motors are 50 Hz machines. Nothing is shipped off the shelf: each Mexican order is produced with a 60 Hz motor wound for the voltage stated on your purchase order, so the fan hits its rated speed and current instead of overspeeding.
  • NOM certification applies, specifically NOM-003-SCFI for electrical products, issued through an accredited certification body. We provide the technical file, test reports, wiring diagrams and certificate of origin that the body and your customs broker will ask for.
  • Water hardness on the northern plateau is high, so we specify pad media and a bleed-off rate suited to it and recommend a scale-management routine — evaporative cooling fails early in Torreón and Chihuahua from scaling, not from heat.

Ask on WhatsApp
Does evaporative cooling suit Monterrey and the Bajío?

Yes, about as well as anywhere we ship. Summer afternoons in Monterrey, Saltillo, Torreón and Querétaro combine high dry-bulb temperature with low relative humidity, which is exactly the wet-bulb depression evaporative cooling converts into a temperature drop. Running costs are a fraction of refrigerated air for the same nave industrial, which is why the technology is already standard there.

What about a plant in Veracruz or Cancún?

Different climate, different answer. Coastal Mexico stays humid enough that an evaporative cooler would add moisture without meaningfully lowering the temperature people feel. For those sites we specify HVLS fans to create floor-level air movement and hammer exhaust fans to clear accumulated roof heat, which work regardless of how damp the outside air is.

How do you handle NOM certification and 60 Hz supply?

Two separate steps, both settled before production. Electrical products fall under NOM-003-SCFI and are certified through an accredited Mexican body, for which we supply the full technical file and test reports. Separately, every unit is manufactured with a 60 Hz motor at 220 V or 440 V, since our catalogue standard is 50 Hz and must not simply be plugged into Mexican mains.
