Industrial cooling and ventilation in Querétaro

The Bajío has changed faster than any other Mexican industrial region, and Querétaro sits at the centre of it. Bombardier and Safran anchored an aerospace cluster around the Aeropuerto Intercontinental that now includes composites, engine components, MRO hangars and the training schools feeding them. Automotive suppliers fill El Marqués and the older Parque Industrial Querétaro, appliance and white goods manufacture continues along Bernardo Quintana, Balvanera holds light engineering, and the corridor down to San Juan del Río has absorbed food processing and the distribution buildings serving central Mexico. Altitude works in the buyer’s favour here. Thinner, drier air means an evaporative cooler performs well while the moisture it adds stays far from the dew point, which matters when a customer is assembling avionics or painting composite panels. Hangars and high bay assembly halls take large ceiling fans as the companion product.

Querétaro climate — the honest version

Querétaro sits at 1,820 m on the high plateau, so summer days reach 32–35 °C with afternoon humidity around 25 to 35 percent and nights that fall back into the mid teens, a mild dry profile in which evaporative cooling gives a clean 10 to 13 °C drop without the condensation risk electronics and aerospace plants worry about.

Manzanillo is the usual gateway at 32 to 40 days from Nhava Sheva, followed by 650 km of road or the Ferromex intermodal service into Querétaro, typically one to two days · Altamira at 30 to 38 days is competitive for buyers on the Gulf side, with a 600 km inland leg.

Worth knowing locally

  • Supply across the Bajío is 220 V or 440 V at 60 Hz. A 50 Hz winding is what leaves our line unless the order says otherwise, so Querétaro equipment is scheduled as a made to order batch carrying 60 Hz motors on the correct tap.
  • Imports must satisfy NOM requirements, with NOM-003-SCFI the applicable standard for electrical safety, certified by an accredited body in Mexico. We prepare the technical file and test evidence and coordinate with your broker so certification is closed before the goods leave the port.
  • Aerospace and automotive customers here usually run formal supplier qualification. Allow four to six weeks for drawing approval, material certificates and a first article review before production starts, on top of the 10 to 20 day manufacturing lead time.

Ask on WhatsApp
Will added humidity from evaporative cooling affect an aerospace assembly hall?

It raises relative humidity, so it needs checking against your process limits, but the starting point here is unusually favourable. Plateau air at 30 percent humidity can absorb a great deal of moisture before approaching any level that concerns composites or avionics. Where a paint booth or a controlled area exists, we serve the surrounding hall and leave the controlled space on its own system.

What is the right product for a hangar with 14 m clear height?

Large diameter ceiling fans, mounted with the clearance the structure allows, are the practical answer for a hangar. They move a very large volume slowly, which suits a space that cannot be sealed and is opened to the apron several times a day. Ducted evaporative cooling then serves fixed work positions such as benches and inspection areas rather than the whole volume.

How long does NOM certification add to delivery?

Typically three to five weeks running in parallel with manufacture, provided the technical file is complete at the start. Certification under NOM-003-SCFI is issued by an accredited Mexican body against the product family and the importer, so repeat orders from the same buyer move much faster. We flag the timeline in the quotation so the site programme reflects it.
