The right product depends on which side of the escarpment the site sits. Dar es Salaam, Tanga and Zanzibar are humid enough that evaporative cooling underperforms, so exhaust ventilation and HVLS fans carry the load. Dodoma, Arusha, Mwanza and the central plateau are dry and high, where ductable coolers work properly.

- TBS pre-export verification of conformity is mandatory: inspection and the certificate must be completed in India before the container sails, or the consignment faces penalties and possible rejection at Dar es Salaam.

It depends entirely on altitude. On the coast at Dar es Salaam or Tanga humidity is too high and we would steer you to exhaust fans and HVLS units instead. Inland at Dodoma, Arusha or Mwanza the air is drier and a thousand metres higher, and a ductable cooler performs well through the hot season.
What is TBS PVoC and does it affect our order?
It affects timing, so plan for it. The Tanzania Bureau of Standards requires a licensed agency to inspect and test regulated goods in the country of export and issue a certificate of conformity before shipment. We arrange inspection at our Pune works and provide the test reports and technical file the agency requires.
Can you ship to Zambia or the DRC through Dar es Salaam?
Yes. Dar es Salaam is the main gateway for landlocked buyers on the central and TAZARA corridors, and containers move under transit bond to Lusaka, Lubumbashi, Kigali or Bujumbura. Budget realistically for the road leg, which can add a week or more beyond the port depending on destination.
