Climate suitability — the honest version

Evaporative cooling is the wrong product for Finland and we will not sell it here. What works is destratification: in a heated hall the warm air sits at the roof, and HVLS fans bring it back down, which is a heating-cost argument rather than a comfort one. Extract fans handle sawdust, welding fume and moisture loads the rest of the year.

No, and we would rather tell you that now. Finnish air carries too much moisture and the hot season is too short for a wetted pad to justify its water, maintenance and capital cost. If a July heatwave is the concern, increased extract volume and HVLS air movement give you the comfort effect without a system that idles eleven months a year.
What does destratification save on a Finnish heating bill?
Measured across a long heating season it is the largest saving we offer. Roof-level air in a 12 m hall often sits 10 °C above the floor, so much of your heat output never reaches anyone. Slow downward HVLS circulation flattens that profile and commonly returns 20–30% of heating energy, which in Finland is a substantial annual figure.
Do the fans suit a sawmill or paper mill environment?
Yes, with the right specification. Motors are IP55 and IE3+, which copes with dust-laden mill air, and we pair the fans with Hammer extract fans sized for the dust or moisture load so the ceiling fans are circulating cleaned air rather than recirculating the problem. Tell us the process and we will specify both sides together.
