Industrial cooling and ventilation in Shymkent
Southern Kazakhstan concentrates its heavy industry around Shymkent, and the mix is unusually varied for a city of a million people. At 39 °C and 18 percent humidity the air leaving the pads sits around 24 to 27 °C, so a drop of 12 to 15 °C is normal. In a spinning or weaving hall that also lifts humidity towards the 50 to 60 percent band the yarn actually prefers, which is why cotton mills in dry regions often treat evaporative cooling as a process aid rather than only a comfort measure.
Is evaporative cooling safe to install in a refinery or chemical plant?
In the workshops, stores and control buildings, yes, and that is where most of it goes. Ducted coolers are not rated for classified hazardous zones, so anything inside a designated area needs purpose built explosion protected equipment from a specialist. A 20 ft container takes up to 28 duct coolers and a 40 ft high cube up to 60, with HVLS fans packing considerably denser. The sea leg to Bandar Abbas is priced per container, but the road and rail run into Kazakhstan is priced per truck or wagon. Filling that inland unit completely is the main lever on delivered cost.
